A young lady came home from a date, rather said. She told her mother,
- “Anthony proposed to me an hour ago.”
- “Then why are you so sad?” her mother asked.
Một thiếu nữ trẻ trở về nhà sau cuộc hẹn hò, tỏ ra buồn rầu. Cô tâm sự với mẹ:
-“Anthony đã cầu hôn con một giờ trước đây.”
-“Thế thì tại sao mà con lại buồn bã như vậy?” người mẹ hỏi.

- “Because he also told me he is an atheist. Mom, he doesn’t even believe there’s a Hell.”
Her mother replied, “Mary him anyway. Between the two of us, we’ll show him how wrong he is.”

- “Bởi vì anh ấy cũng nói với con anh ấy là người vô thần. Mẹ ạ, thậm chí anh ấy còn chẳng thèm tin là có địa ngục nữa.
- “Cứ lấy nó đi. Sống với chúng ta, ta sẽ chỉ cho nó thấy là nó đã sai lầm như thế nào.”
