At that time, due to the Thus Come One’s majestic spiritual power, in all the world systems of the ten directions, beings in the Jambudvipa in every set of four continents could see a Thus Come One seated beneath the tree.

Accompanying each of them were Bodhisattvas who relied on the Buddha’s spiritual power and proclaimed the Dharma. Every being considered himself to be constantly in the presence of the Buddha.

Lúc bấy giờ, do nơi thần-lực của đức Như-Lai, thập phương tất cả thế-giới, trong mỗi Diêm-Phù-Ðề, đều thấy đức Phật ngự dưới cội cây bồ-đề, đều có Bồ-Tát thừa oai-thần của Phật mà thuyết pháp, tất cả đều cho rằng mình luôn đối trước Phật.

At that time, the World Honored One, without departing from beneath all the bodhi trees, ascended Mount Sumeru and approached the palace of Lord Sakra.

Ðức Phật chẳng rời dưới cây bồ-đề, mà thăng lên đảnh núi Tu-Di, hướng đến điện của Ðế-Thích.

Celestial Lord Sakra, who was in front of his Wondrous Splendid Palace, saw the Buddha coming from afar. He immediately used his spiritual powers to adorn this palace and set up a Universal Light Treasury Lion Throne. That throne was entirely made out of wondrous gems. Ten thousand terraces adorned it to the ultimate. Ten thousand golden nets covered it from above. Ten thousand kinds of curtains and ten thousand kinds of canopies encircled it in orderly array. Ten thousand silken fabrics were draped upon it. Ten thousand pearl necklaces everywhere interlaced. Ten thousand garments were suspended above the throne. Ten thousand gods and ten thousand Brahma kings surrounded it in front and behind. Ten thousand lights illuminated it.

Lúc đó Thiên-Ðế ở trước điện Diệu-Thắng thấy vọi Phật đến, liền dùng thần-lực trang-nghiêm điện này; trần-thiết tòa sư-tử Phổ-quang-minh tạng, đều dùng diệu-bửu làm thành: mười ngàn từng cấp cao vọi trang-nghiêm, mười ngàn lưới vàng giăng che phía trên, mười ngàn thứ màn, mười ngàn thứ lọng bày trí giáp vòng, mười ngàn lụa màu thắt tụi thòng rủ, mười ngàn chuỗi bửu-châu xen kết, mười ngàn y-phục trải trên tòa, mười ngàn Thiên-tử, mười ngàn Phạm-Vương đứng hầu sau trước, mười ngàn ánh sáng chiếu rực.

When Lord Sakra had arranged the throne for the Thus Come One, he made a half bow, joined his palms, reverently faced the Buddha and said, “Welcome, World Honored One. Welcome, Well Gone One. Welcome, Thus Come One, Worthy One, One of Proper Enlightenment. I only pray that the Buddha will pity us and stay in this palace.”

At that time, the World Honored One accepted his invitation and entered the Wondrous Splendid Palace. In all the worlds throughout the ten directions, this happened exactly the same way.

Then for Lord Sakra, due to the Buddha’s spiritual powers, all the music in the palace spontaneously ceased. He himself recalled how in the presence of past Buddhas he had established all kinds of wholesome foundations in the Dharma, and so he spoke in verse:

Thiên-Ðế chấp tay cúi mình cung kính nghinh tiếp Ðức Phật mà bạch rằng: ‘Lành thay đức Thế-Tôn! Lành thay đức Thiện-Thệ! Lành thay đức Như-Lai Ứng-Cúng Chánh-Ðẳng-Giác! xin Phật xót thương vào điện này!’.

Ðức Phật nhận lời vào điện Diệu-Thắng. Trong tất cả thế-giới ở mười phương đều đồng như vậy cả.

Do thần-lực của đức Phật, bao nhiêu tiếng nhạc trong các cung điện đều im bặt.

Thiên-Ðế liền tự nhớ đến những căn lành của đức Phật đã tu thời quá-khứ, nên nói kệ rằng:

Kasyapa Thus Come One has great compassion;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Kanakamuni Buddha’s vision is unobstructed;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Ca-Diếp Như-Lai đủ đại-bi
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.
Câu-Na-Mâu-Ni thấy vô-ngại
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.

Krakucchanda Buddha is like a golden mountain;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Visvabhu Buddha is free from the three defilements;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Câu-Lưu-Tôn Phật như núi vàng
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.
Tỳ-Xá-Phù Phật sạch ba hoặc
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.

Sikhin Thus Come One is free from discrimination;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Vipasyin Buddha resembles the full moon;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Thi-Khí Như-Lai lìa phân biệt
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.
Tỳ-Bà-Thi Phật như trăng tròn
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.

Pusya Buddha has fathomed the foremost truth;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Tirnabhasya Thus Come One has unobstructed eloquence;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Phất-Sa Phật đạt đệ-nhứt nghĩa
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.
Ðề-Xá Như-Lai biện vô-ngại
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.

Padma Buddha is immaculately pure;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Dipankara Thus Come One is radiantly bright;
There is nothing more auspicious than this.
That Buddha once entered this palace;
Therefore this place is most auspicious.

Ba-Ðầu-Ma Phật tịnh vô-cấu
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.
Nhiên-Ðăng Như-Lai quang-minh lớn
Trong những cát-tường rất vô-thượng
Phật ấy từng đến cung-điện này
Thế nên chốn này rất cát-tường.

Just as the Lord of the Trayastrimsa Heaven in this world, through the Thus Come One’s spiritual power, spoke in verse praising the meritorious virtues of the ten Buddhas, so too did the Heavenly Lord Sakras throughout the worlds of the ten directions praise the Buddhas’ meritorious virtues.

At that time, the World Honored One entered the Wondrous Splendid Palace and sat in full lotus. That palace suddenly expanded until it was spacious enough to accommodate all the celestial multitudes. This also occurred throughout the worlds of the ten directions.

Như Ðạo-Lợi Thiên-Vương trong thế-giới này, do thần-lực của Như-Lai, nói kệ ca ngợi công-đức của mười đức Phật thời quá-khứ, trong thế-giới ở mười-phương, chư Thiên-Ðế cũng ca ngợi công-đức của chư Phật như vậy.

Lúc đức Thế-Tôn ngự kiết-già trong điện Diệu-Thắng, thoạt nhiên điện này rộng rãi bằng chỗ ở của tất cả chư Thiên. Thập phương thế-giới cũng đều như vậy.
